thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread.Have you tried the bidding above yet? Based upon the maximum bid in your other post isn't this HOTWIRE property more than you wish to spend... or is there is particular property that you're interested in and would be willing to pay more in an attempt to target it?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. glass1230
I tried the recommended strategy via the PRICELINE link at Better Bidding but the bid was not accepted.Could anyone please:1) suggest another strategy for Priceline or 2) alternatively provide any insight as to which 4* hotel Hotwire is selling for $72 currently. I am not at all aiming for a specific hotel but I note that the Tripadvisor rating for this hotel is only 3.5 out of 5 so that doesn't seem too good. It would be great to not have to spend $30 for parking for one night as well. The amenities listed by Hotwire are as follows:Smoke Free RoomsAirport ShuttleFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessTennis NearbyThanks in advance for any and all suggestions. AaronJB
If your bids were not accepted, unfortunately your options are raising your desired max or waiting and trying again in a week to see if any last-minute inventory was added at your price level. Unfortunately, if you wait, there's the risk that remaining inventory may be gone and/or prices went up. Additionally, coupon code BEMERRY10 works for 10% off some regular rate properties - and a few properties (Hilton Bayfront, $87) are not very expensive for this date.My guess for the HOTWIRE listing would be the Sheraton Marina. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Romelle
If you are considering the $72 HOTWIRE offering, and aren't aiming for a specific hotel, maybe you could use the PRICELINE strategy thereuare provided earlier while just adding $12 at each point?? The last bid would then be the same $72.Even if you weren't successful until the very last bid, I suspect you'd still get a better hotel for the same money.Romelle Link to comment
glass1230
Used Romelle's suggested strategy and obtained Omni San Diego for $67 for December 25th one night. Link to comment
