csd Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I had rejected bid attempts between $65 and $73 over a period of several days. Decided to go up to $75 to get something secured, since I saw someone had won at $77. I used the PRICELINE link for each bid attempt. Booked on December 2nd: Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $75.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $75.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $16.42 (USD) Total Room Cost: $91.42 (USD) (We stayed at the 4* NH Caransa on a Priceline bid in December '09 for $70 a night and that was very nice. We took the Connexxion Schiphol Hotel Shuttle door-to-door from AMS and were treated to a free city tour - the driver was very nice and let us off last so that we could see the Christmas tree in Dam Square, as he had a passenger to pick up near there. Don't know the NH Amsterdam Centre yet but it has a great location and good reviews.)
BacSi Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I am guessing here but I will bet that you like the NH Amsterdam Centre as much or more than the Caransa.14 nights there earlier this year ($69 USD as a winning bid) and I had virtually nothing to complain about. Great location. It was when I stayed there (Feb) a very quiet hotel----inside and out.A nice warm cozy feeling.
