kiddbro Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Hotwire is showing a 2 1/2 * hotel for Cocoa Beach (Cape Canaveral) with fitness, pool, and laundry facilities. I don't see anything on the hotel list that matches exactly. Could this be the Comfort Inn or do you think it might be a new property not on the list. Any thoughts would be appreciatd.

kiddbro Posted December 7, 2010 Author Report Posted December 7, 2010 I have been looking as a one night stay for December 9, 2010. I have been bidding on 3* hotels in this area through Priceline, bidding as high as $70 per night, but to no avail. So, I was hoping to find a good deal on Hotwire.
AaronJB Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Unfortunately, this property has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board. Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 This property has not yet been reported to the board, and while i typically advise to stay clear of lower rated properties, i would consider the 2* HOTWIRE is offering for your dates for $39/nite and the following amenities:Beachfront, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Tennis, LaundryThis is a match for the International Palms Resort and Conference Center so that would be my best guess for this one (Expedia lists it as a 3*). The hotel does have exterior corridors, but the hotel generally gets pretty good reviews which state that the property is clean. If this isn't what you're looking for, there are a few other decent options for not much more than you have already bid:Hilton Cocoa Beach for $66Four Points $85Doubletree $89Do any of the above work for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. kiddbro Posted December 8, 2010 Author Report Posted December 8, 2010 Thanks for your input. When I went to the HOTWIRE website (using your link) the Hilton did not appear one of the hotels offered. So, I went back to PRICELINE and was able to get the Cocoa Beach Hilton for $60 plus $14.55 fees and taxes for a total of $74.55.
kiddbro Posted December 8, 2010 Author Report Posted December 8, 2010 Using your PRICELINE link, I was able to get the 3* Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront for $60 plus $14.55 in taxes and fees for a total of $74.55. I am only staying one night 12/9/10.I do have to admit that I had to work for this one. I have been bidding for a week and was not able to get a hotel for the price that I was looking to pay. I had gone up to a $70 bid. I decided to give it one last try before getting a hotel by another means. I was surprised when $60 was accepted. Of course, this was a 12:30am on 12/8/10, just a day and a half before the room is needed. Thanks for this helpful website.
thereuare Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Congratulations on your success!I was just at this hotel recently... it was what i'd typically expect from a beachfront hotel in this area. Nothing lavish, but well maintained given the 'abuse' beachfront hotels usually see (ie- wind, sand, etc). They have a very good Happy Hour here (5pm-7pm??) with 2 for 1 draft beer and house wine. During off season the outdoor pool bar closes at 5pm but they then open the indoor bar by the restaurant.Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay.
