Froufie Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Still trying to find a 'bargain' for pre-cruise 1 night downtown Miami. Last year I really scored with $65 for the 4 star Hyatt Regency (via Priceline) but nothing close to that showing up yet (or maybe ever?)I have found this: 1 night feb 2nd, 3.5 star for $112 with following amenities:Condo, Studio, smoke-free rooms, fitness room, pool, 24 hr front desk, laundry and internet. Can't find it on the list', but I remember something like this posted somewhere and I believe it was The Club at Brickell Bay or Place or something like that? Part of a condo apt?Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
AaronJB Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 If you click "see details" and then click "see all amenities" on the detail page, are there additional amenities showing beyond the ones above?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Found a couple of additional ones using your special method: tennis nearby, and kitchenette!Hope this helps! Thanks,
AaronJB Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 This property has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board. However, the Club at Brickell Bay looks like a good possibility, as the tripadvisor rating matches and the amenities look to be a possible match.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Froufie Posted January 19, 2011 Author Report Posted January 19, 2011 Trying to confirm identify of a couple of properties - 1 night pre-cruise feb 2nd:1) Central South Beach - 4 star @ $90-near beach-studio-kitchen-airport shuttle-complimentary breakfast-daily housekeeping-a/c-pool-front desk-24 hr front desk-high speed internet-golf nearby-boutique hotel-condoIs this the Riviera Suites? or ???2) Bay Harbour Islands - North Bay Village - 3 star @ $96-boutique-smoke free-complimentary breakfast-restaurant-business center-high speed internet-golf nearby-tennis nearbyIs this the Daddy-O hotel? or???Any information greatly appreciated!Thanks! :)
thereuare Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. The 4* Condo matches both the Riviera Suites and the Shore Club so either of these are likely possibilities, although i'd slightly favor this one being the Riviera Suites. The 3* property has not yet been reported to the board. The amenities match the 4* Daddy O Hotel but neither the star rating, nor the Tripadvisor review rating, are consistent with this property so i'm doubtful this is the Daddy O.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Froufie Posted January 20, 2011 Author Report Posted January 20, 2011 Thanks for the info and response - I am pretty sure the 1st one is Riviera cuz the location is south beach central while the shore club is listed under south beach - oceanfront/collins!As for the other property - I did note the difference in 'star' rating!! While the location and all the amenities match exactly with the Daddy-O hotel - the star rating does not (and there are tons of positive reviews on Trip Advisor). Guess I might not chance that hotel? (anyways found a similar good price on the actualy daddy-o website if I really want to stay there!).

Froufie Posted January 21, 2011 Author Report Posted January 21, 2011 Just wanted to advise that the listing in question was the Daddy-o - a friend of mine booked it thru HOTWIRE (so I guess the star rating may not be that accurate?)
Froufie Posted January 21, 2011 Author Report Posted January 21, 2011 FINALLY GOT SOMETHING and I am thrilled (based on a report here on the priceline board) - got the Residence Inn by Marriot Coconut Grove for $75 (plus taxes) for 1 night feb 2. Reviews are quite good, location is great and cheapest price I could find for similar room was $199 - so I am very happy (time to cancel my backup - which was quite lovely but near the airport!)
AaronJB Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)Glad you were able to score a nice deal, plus free breakfast and larger room.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay.
