jack liu Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 Hi,Im going to Las Vegas for the New Year.I checked the hotel range, they are quite expensive.Im wondering if I use the bidding of Priceline, I can get a way cheaper price? For example:I only want to book the hotel of 4 stars and above, at the south strip or north strip. These hotels includes NYNY, paris MGM, Wynn, Aria and many more.( are these 4 stars? or 5 stars?)I really want to have a good time. The regular price of these hotels are about $350 per night. So if i bid for about $200 per night, is that possible?since im new, i have no idea about want range should I bid form the regular price. Thanks,Jack
thereuare Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding!I only want to book the hotel of 4 stars and above, at the south strip or north strip. These hotels includes NYNY, paris MGM, Wynn, Aria and many more.( are these 4 stars? or 5 stars?)4* NYNY4* Paris4* MGM5* Wynn5* AriaI'm doubtful $200 will be enough for a 5* for these dates, but i think you have a chance at a 4* for this price (i'm assuming something like Treasure Island would be acceptable?)Let us know if you're ready to begin bidding now, and if so, if you'd like to begin by trying for a 4* (or if you'd like to try for a 5* anyway even though the odds of success are low) and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. jack liu Posted December 4, 2010 Author Report Posted December 4, 2010 Hi,Since NYE is way too expensive..SO i decided to change the date between 12/25 to 12/28And I just want 5 star hotel such as wynn and aria. Paris and NYNY arnt bad.But they are 4 stars I dont want to end up getting westin or treasure island. So the price should go down right? what should I bid for the price?
crice Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 For 5*, I suggest you start your bidding at $80 and work your way up in $5 increments. This forum has instructions on how to do free rebids. The time you are going (I am going that time as well) is a down time and rates are cheaper. I think you can get the Trump for $80 to $90.
