Jett456 Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 $35 for Best Western in Stuart FL 12/2-12/5/10. I'm happy with that!! :)I bid too low at first and PRICELINE wouldn't let me increase my *level so I could rebid. Is this something new or has it always been this way? I was not happy. Sorry, I tried to go back and edit the title to put the name of the hotel in and it wouldn't let me do that.
Romelle Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 PRICELINE will let you lower the star level, but not increase it in a rebid (assuming you are bidding the same area). The reason is that when you are bidding say 3 1/2*, the higher star levels are also included. It is only when you lower the star level that you actually change something. It has been that way as long as I've been bidding - quite a few years.Romelle
thereuare Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Thank you for sharing your win with the board. When bidding 3* in Stuart you do have TWO re-bid zones available, so when your 2.5* bid was rejected you could have re-bid at the 3* level by selecting Stuart and one of your re-bid zones. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
