pokepsw Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 Hi BB Forums,I'm trying to spend some time in these various locations between Dec 13-20, 2010Sherman OaksBurbank/GlendaleFullerton/BreaWest Hollywood/HollywoodAre there any sure fire ways to get these locations? I know Hollywood isn't a problem and I see that Fullerton/Brea have their own section, as does Burbank/Glendale, but what are the best star levels for the money? Sherman Oaks I can't find at all. Thanks!
thereuare Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 Please follow-up your previous Priceline Los Angeles thread with whatever you ended up doing for that stay... then click this PRICELINE link and reply to this thread, we'll have a look at your post above. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too! Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
pokepsw Posted December 1, 2010 Author Report Posted December 1, 2010 Always search w/ the PRICELINE link :)Replied to the Priceline Los Angeles thread - I paid rack rate to ensure location.
thereuare Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 If you didn't, please note from our support page that we're an affiliate of the Holdiay Inn as well as most other major hotel chains and online booking agencies... please check for and use the links for your future hotel direct travel purchases. For your stay above, the hotel you receive can be anywhere within the shaded boundaries of the zone. If you're looking to target/avoid a certain area of the zone HOTWIRE may be a better, although slightly more expensive, option. HOTWIRE may have the zone boundaries drawn somewhat differently which might work better for your plans and/or based upon the amenities shown you can often take an educated guess as to what property is being offered, thereby also having a guess as to where in the zone the property is located.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. pokepsw Posted December 2, 2010 Author Report Posted December 2, 2010 To be honest, I didn't know that - thanks.I understand its just a zone, but what zone should I bid on for Sherman Oaks, CA? I've searched it and it only came up twice on this board. Thanks!
thereuare Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Sherman Oaks is not a PRICELINE zone... depending upon exactly where you want to bid in the area, you'd likely want to look in the North Hollywood - Studio City zone, Van Nuys - Mission Hills zone... a little further south in the Brentwood-Westwood or Beverly Hills-West Hollywood zone. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. BeechDebonair Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Sherman Oaks is not in a PRICELINE zone, but Sherman Oaks IS a distinct option on HOTWIRE. If you enter Sherman Oaks, CA on HOTWIRE, it will bring up about 42 L.A. area hotels. Included will be a 2.5 star "Sherman Oaks area" hotel for approximately $69 to $74, which states it has a 90% customer recommended rating in Hotwire Customer reviews, and 3.5 out of 5.0 stars on Trip Advisor. Based upon those statements, I believe this may be the Hampton Inn Sherman Oaks; http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g3...California.htmlHotwire also lists the 3 star Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley, as a Hotels.com option (which means that there is no HOTWIRE discount, at least on the dates I have looked at).
