Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Virginia Beach (Downtown Portsmouth) Renaissance

I first bid $48 for 3.5* in downtown Norfolk - no joy. I raised the bid to $50 and added Norfolk airport (no 3.5* hotels there). No luck. I upped the bid to $52 and added Portsmouth, pretty certain I'd get the Renaissance (it's the only 3.5* there). I'd been getting it pretty regularly in September and October. Parking at the Renaissance is an additional $10/day, so factor that in.
