I selected 3-1/2* and Downtown Norfolk, and won on first attempt with $48 bid. Remember that self-parking is an additional $12/day. I placed the bid 7 days ahead of time, and the rate has been steadily decreasing from between $55-60 over the last three months. It will probably bottom out between $42-48 for wintertime. If I hadn't won, I would normally add Downtown Portsmouth and go to $50 - this usually picks up acceptance by the Renaissance in Portsmouth ($10/day parking), which adds tunnel time and 15-20 minutes of driving if you're coming into Norfolk (unless you take the water taxi), but it's worth it. Both Sheraton and Renaissance are well kept, recently renovated, and on the waterfront.
