sethjvm
Bid a 4* Detroit Airport Hotel but receive 3.5* HotelI used the betterbidding links to bid a 4* hotel at the Detroit Metro Airport from December 1 to December 2. When I got to the confirmation page, I was informed that I was "upgraded" to a 3.5* hotel. I am really upset and wonder what recourse I have because their system screwed me. I know that I bid 4* because that I what I normally bid. Link to comment
thereuare
I'd contact PRICELINE and let them know that you didn't select the 3* (or 3.5* option) and that you had bid for a 4* hotel. They will research it to see what happens, but i'll add that almost every time i hear the scenario above the lower star rating was due to user error (not saying that is the case here, but in almost every instance this has been teh results), and PRICELINE may be able to send you a screenshot of the page you submitted with the lower star rating. I'd start by contacting them and seeing what their records show you submitted. Please post the name of the hotel you received and the winning bid price so we can edit the topic title to reflect the hotel won.Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
