GoldieATX Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 I saw a previous member's win of $50 for the same day, same area. My competitive spirit won over, and I attempted bids of $46 and $49. Both were rejected. So I'll try tomorrow at $50 and hope for the best. I think I have stayed at the Intercontinental before for about the same price, and I would be happy with that (plus a charge for parking, of course).I will update my post if I win.
thereuare Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 If you don't want to wait until tomorrow you have LOTS of re-bid zones when bidding the 4* level in Houston. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. GoldieATX Posted November 24, 2010 Author Report Posted November 24, 2010 I guess I can't edit the original post. So, for 11/26-27, in Houston (Galleria), the following bids failed:4* $464* $493* $393.5* 46And I finally won with a 3* bid at $46 for Hotel Indigo. I figured the Intercontinental might only cost me $4 more on the bid, but then another $16 for parking. Hotel Indigo, as I understand it, has free parking (yep, I'm that cheap). So, I'd call it a win. I'm only staying one night, after all, and I'm sure the Indigo is great. Thanks, BB! I think I even remembered to use your affiliate links this time.
