funeralman17 Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 Am looking for a 4* or better for 12-26 - 12-31-10. Found a 4.5* on HOTWIRE for $89. Has a $20 resort fee. Amenities are fitness room, pool, restaurant, business, internet, golf and tennis. Recommended by 90% of users. Any idea what hotel this is? We're planning on doing a day at Disney and a day at Universal. Any other recommendations for hotels in the area would be appreciated. Traveling with wife, and 2 teenage dtrs. Need 1 room with 2 beds. Will use this board to book. Thank You!
thereuare Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 I assume you're looking at Orlando, but which zone is this property located in?So we can replicate your search, how many rooms/adults/children are you searching for? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. funeralman17 Posted November 23, 2010 Author Report Posted November 23, 2010 Sorry, I guess it would help to know the city! Orlando Celebration area. Would love to stay closer to Universal but can't find anything with 4* reasonable. Any ideas would be appreciated.

funeralman17 Posted November 23, 2010 Author Report Posted November 23, 2010 ??1 room 2 adults, 2 kids ages 15 and 17. Thanks!
thereuare Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 Are you sure you included 2adults/2chidren in your search as i'm only seeing what i believe to be the same hotel when searching for 2adults/0children... and i also think there are more amenities than what you've listed above. If you go back to HOTWIRE and click the CONTINUE button next to this offering and then click the "See all " link on top of the icons, do you see more amenities than what you've listed above? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. funeralman17 Posted November 23, 2010 Author Report Posted November 23, 2010 Went back and checked and I may have only included 2 adults. Will the kids make a difference. I can't believe a 4.5 star resort won't have rooms with 2 dbl. beds. Amenities were fitness, pool, restaurant, business ctr, internet access, golf, tennis and a spa when I clicked on see all. What's your best guess. Gaylord Palm? If that is it I'm going to go ahead and book and then call the resort directly and ask for 2 dbl beds. Really want to stay at a top of the line hotel since we don't get to go that often. Thank You!
AaronJB Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 If you search for 2/2, hotel options and prices may differ, and searching for 4 in the room would ensure at least some form of bedding for the entire party.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
funeralman17 Posted November 24, 2010 Author Report Posted November 24, 2010 Found nothing in 4 star or better in this price range going 2/2. What kind of results have there been on priceline lately for ths kind of property. I think I'll take my chances calling after I book through Hotwire and trying to make sure correct number of beds. Which hotel do you think.
thereuare Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 Are you also see a Resort icon associated with this property? While the hotel does likely have rooms with 2 beds, there is no assurance that the hotel will be able, or willing, to give yo such a room (especially during a busy holiday week in Orlando). While the chances of a problem are lower in an area such as this which is accustomed to catering to families (vs. an area such as NYC which has notoriously small rooms and a high percentage of rooms with only one bed) it's still a risk you need to be aware of.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
