Hi! :-)

I would be great if somebody could help me to get a good Deal.

I have never used Priceline oder Hotwire, so I think that I will need some help to do it right.

Me and my Wife will visit my Sister for Christmas Holidays in Manhattan. As we wouldn't like to disturb them in their small appartment all 9 nights, we would like to stay some days in a Hotel.

We would like to stay in a nice 4* Hotel somwhere around midtown (everywhere between flat iron district and south central park and first to 7th avenue would be ok). What would be your bidding strategy? Do you think 500$ for 3 nights is realistic?

Thank you in advance (and sorry for my English as I am not a native speaker)

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Please start by reading your messages and clicking this PRICELINE link.

Then, enter "New York City" in the search box on the top right corner of this page which will bring you to the NYC region for PRICELINE. Let us know which zones, by PRICELINE name, you're willing to accept and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Is your budget $167/nite budget before taxes and fees or 'all-in'?

Thank you :-)

Areas I would like to stay are

Central Park South

Midtown East

Midtown West

Times Square

madison square Garden

Empire State Building Area

Every of this woud be ok but the first three would be best. 167$ all in would be nice

Thank you

A particularly reasonable regular rate - the Wyndham Garden Chelsea on Broadway and Fifth is $116 non-refundable on Expedia, plus coupon code FESTIVE10 takes $10 off per night - $106. So, that's about $125 all-in per night.

Otherwise, HOTWIRE is showing a 3.5* in MTE w/fitness, restaurant, business, internet for $119 - that may be a match for the Hilton Manhattan East, Roosevelt or Doubletree Met. You could possibly win a 3.5* in MTE for around $95-105.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE, PRICELINE or Expedia links to start your purchases and searches.

Do you like any of the offers above, or do you want to try for a 4* thru PRICELINE in the zone(s) you listed above?

If you want to move forward with PRICELINE, are you willing to pay more for a hotel in one of the first 3 zones OR is your goal the least expensive 4* hotel in any of these areas?

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. (or Expedia if you go with any of the others above)

Thank you for your Help! This sounds really good.

I like the above offers but I would like to know how you would go for the least expensive 4* Hotel in any of these areas

Given you like the offers above, do you still want to use $167 all-in as your maximum bid given there is something acceptable to you at $125 all-in? (although recognizing that the above hotels are rated 3*/3.5* and since you're seeking a 4* hotel on PRICELINE you're willing to pay up to $167/nite?
