Thanks for the info on the board. I used the PRICELINE link.

Wanted a 4* hotel in the Waikiki area (Beach, Marina or City Central)

Started with just Area 7 (Waikiki Beach) at a bid of $106 - bid was rejected though the screen mentioned that I could bid again straight away, if I increased my bid by $25 to $131 per night.

I declined their kind offer and made another immediate bid by adding Area 9 (Waikiki Marina) and increasing my bid to $116 - my bid was accepted!!

Seems like a pretty good deal ?

I am bidding 7 days before leaving.
