Won the Hyatt Deerfield for 1 night (11/25-11/26). Used the PRICELINE link on Better Bidding.

Started bidding for a 3.5* at $37 in Deerfield,. Rejected.

Added Deerfield and Gurnee for $40 for 3.5*. Rejected.

Added Deerfield and Libertyville for $43 for 3.5*. Rejected.

Added Deerfield with both Gurnee and Libertyville for $46 for 3.5*. Accepted and upgraded to 4* Hyatt Deerfield.

Was hoping to get the Embassy Suites Deerfield because of the great free breakfast. But the Hyatt Deerfield looks very nice and still has the suite style arrangement. Still a good deal.

Sorry to hear you didn't get the ES, but this is quite a good deal for this Hyatt property, which is actually down the road a bit from the ES. There's not much right around the hotel, but there are a lot of restaurant options in nearby Northbrook and further East. There is also a few things closer by; I would recommend Hackney's on 241 South Milwaukee Ave if you're looking for a good burger (although they have a lot of other options, such as a loaf of fried onions, which - like the burgers - they are also famous for.)
