Aaron TC Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 I am traveling to NYC Dec 3 - 6. What should I bid on priceline to get a 3 or 4 star hotel? And what part of town should I choose? Will 200 be enough?
thereuare Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please start by reading your messages. And what part of town should I choose? What are your plans for this trip? Will 200 be enough?Possibly in the Downtown zone, but that is usually not the most ideal location for most users, but most likely not.Once we know your plans we'll be able to best advise regarding zones and discuss your options from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. AaronJB Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)These are particularly expensive dates - especially the 3rd/4th. $200 would not be enough for a 4* and would not likely be enough for a 3.5*. Is $200 your max budget per night for this stay? Are you familiar with the city? Are there particular zones you would be interested in bidding for? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Aaron TC Posted November 18, 2010 Author Report Posted November 18, 2010 Yes familiar with the city. Have stayed in midtown east several times the Murray Hill area. My trip is booked so I will go as high as needed. 250 275 whatever it's most important that the hotel is nice. So if the location is random that's fine cause it's easy to heh around and I don't have to be in a particular area. So please advise on a nice hotel in any zone at my price. Thanks
thereuare Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 ...it's most important that the hotel is nice.So what is the minimum star rating you're willing to accept? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Aaron TC Posted November 18, 2010 Author Report Posted November 18, 2010 3 star minimum. What zone should I try to get 3 star for 250 - 275?
thereuare Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 I'd suggest bidding all acceptable zones and having the one with the least expensive rate be the one to accept your bid.If you let us know, by PRICELINE name, which zones are acceptable we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
