Quick Q/clarification, as I believe I am looking at the same property (thread under Jan 11-14 Priceline Riverwalk options)...

Could it be that there is such a price difference b/t this date (end of the year) and the beginning of 2011, as it's a $20 per night difference (the quote from Hotwire is at $99 for the Jan 11-14 dates, given of course it's the same 4-star property)?

Rates are date specific, so there could very well be a difference in price between the dates above and your own stay.

However, the hotel you're looking as likely different than this one as each shows different dates when looking at the 'details' provided by HOTWIRE... the offering for the date above shows a 3.5/5.0 TA rating whereas the hotel for your dates showns a 4.0/5.0 rating, as well, the breakdown of each category provided by HOTWIRE users differs for this property vs. the only appearing on a search for your own dates.

Thanks. Was wondering if it might be the Hotel Valencia, but Gunter is a nice place -- plus the Gunter is just across the street from the Majestic Theatre, where we have tickets to see Greater Tuna Christmas on the evening of Dec 25th.
