We are planning a family trip to Chicago for 11/21-11/23. Looking for a hotel in either Mag Mile/Streetville or NMA area. I found the following on Hotwire. Need help with ID. Thanks

4* Mag Mile area - $79.00 (fitness center, restaurant, business center, high-speed internet)

3.5* Mag Mile area - $71.00 (fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, high-speed internet)

4* Mag Mile = this could be a few different properties, including the Sheraton, Hard Rock, Hyatt, Westin River North or Swiss.

3.5* Mag Mile = likely the Doubletree

4* NMA = likely the W Lakeshore.

Thank you Aaron. I appreciate the info and suggestion on Embassy Suites. This will be the first time taking the family to Chicago, so I am open to suggestion. I am interested in Embassy but I was not able to locate the $109 rate. The lowest I found is $129.00.

Ah, I was looking for 2 people; when you search for 4, it's unfortunately $129, as this property appears to add extra person fees into the rate for more than 2 in the room.

Of the HOTWIRE listings, all three are good possibilities (although the W chain is not everyone's cup of tea), and I do think that the 4.5* for $99 in the Mag Mile area w/fitness, restaurant, business, laundry, internet and spa (likely the James) is worth considering.

Looks like a nice deal for this property and the included manager's reception and breakfast are welcomed perks which can help save a little extra money.

There are two Embassy Suites properties in this zone (Downtown and Downtown Lakefront) can you please provide the address of the hotel you received so we can indicate which property was received.

Downtown - Lakefront

The breakfast and reception were a plus and influenced our decision.

I now just need to find some "reasonable" parking

I'd suggest parking at Navy Pier, which I believe is $25 for 24 hours (and may be less on some days of the week, if I recall.) Navy Pier is only a few blocks East of this property.

I'll also strongly suggest Fox and Obel (fox-obel.com), which is a high-end market and cafe about two blocks East, on the corner of Illinois and McClurg.
