Hotwire Hotel: 4.5* West Hollywood - need your advice

I need your advice on something. 10 days ago I found a 4.5* W.Hollywood/B.Hills property with the following amenities:

Fitness Center

Pool

Restaurant

Business Center

High speed internet access

For 23/12 - 31/12 it was at 169$, and for 1/1 - 9/1 at 149$ and I gathered that it should be Sofitel (which is what I wanted). Unfortunately the trip was not finalized so I didn't book.

The trip dates have been set for 1/1 - 9/1, unfortunately the price listed now is at 215$. For the dates that I won't be traveling the price remains unchanged.

My question is: do you believe it is still Sofitel (is it normal to change the price so drastically) or was it swapped with another property?

PS: I used your link to initiate the search and I will use it again to finalize the booking.

There amenities are common for the area so it could be something else, but my best guess would be that this is the Sofitel.

It's not uncommon to see a rate change such as that above, especially for a multi-nite stay. The hotel could have received some new bookings for a few nites within this date range and therefore decide to not discount as deeply as they had previously since they now have a higher occupancy rate.
