Priceline Hotel: 4* Monterey InterContinental the Clement Monterey

Tried 3 1/2 stars in Monterey area up to $80 and 4 stars up to $100 without results. Received today an offer to rebid immidiately from $95 to $120 for a 4 start hotel. I rejected and tried $105 without results and got the Intercontinental the Clearment for $110 (plus $21.40 in taxes), which is pretty much in-line with what prior posters paid. I am happy with the selection. Hoped to get it cheaper since HOTWIRE had low rates for this date, but I guess they don't go below the $110 treashold on PRICELINE. Retail rate is about $172 and HOTWIRE has a 4 star for $123.
