Priceline Hotel: Resort San Juan (Rio Grande-Fajardo-El Yunque) El Conquistador Waldorf

I'm looking to book a resort in the Rio Grande - Fajardo - El Yunque area of PR for a post cruise stay. I've looked through the rebidding instructions and feel I have a pretty good handle on it but wanted to confirm as I'm a little nervous about the process. It looks like for a resort in this area, I can add any zone other than San Juan for up to 6 rebids. Is this correct?

Yes, at the moment, you have SIX re-bid zones (all but San Juan) when bidding for a Resort class property in Puerto Rico, but always doublecheck just before bidding to make sure that nothing has changed since you last looked.

The stay is for 1/9/11-1/10/11 with a budget of around $100. A recent bid of $85 was rejected but I believe I'm getting close because I was offered a rebid if I increased the price by $25.

Do you intend to rent a car for this stay? If you're planning on taking taxi from the port to the hotel and then from the hotel to the airport, have you checked on costs, as i don't think it's that inexpensive and it may cause you to re-think heading to this area (vs. a resort rated hotel in San Juan) for just one nite.

Assuming you wish to continue for this area, are you willing to bid up to $100 at this point in time?

Won the El Conquistador for $96.

I do intend to rent a car. I wanted to do the Rio Grande - Fajardo - El Yunque because I've been to PR before and have done San Juan extensively. This will give me a chance to see another part of the island and I'm willing to rent the car to do so.
