mrengifo Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Hello,I tried to book at hotel at Boston in the theater area for the period 11/19-11/21. I put different rates from $120-$150, but it got rejected. Any tips to get a four start hotel in this area? - Also, would it be worth it to try to get the hotel in the financial district if the theater option keeps being rejected? I am just going to see the get to know the city. Thanks
thereuare Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! The most frequently bid zones in this area are the Copley Square-Theatre District and the Quincy Market-Faneiul Hall zones... i think that both are fairly central and would be fine for a 'see the city' stay. Please confirm that both of these zones are acceptable and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Rhine-and-Roses Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 There is a good sized conference the 19-21 at the Hynes Center so the usual Priceline/Hotwire hotels in that area are fully booked for the 19th. So that night may be a problem if you are looking in Back Bay/Copley. The Marriott, Hilton, and Sheraton were completely booked yesterday, as I was looking for a second room myself. Then to make it even worse, it's the Harvard/Yale weekend, so Cambridge hotels are also booked. The Hilton suggested the Hilton Financial District, which is a nice hotel. Quiet area on the weekend. Easy walk to Faneuil Hall.
