ZeroCool Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Fist time to use Priceline and with the help of this website I learned a few tricks and got my first accepted bid on Priceline for Singapore.I am going during a very bad time 11/28 - 12/2. I tried all nights but never cold get a bid accepted so I thought I would try Sunday which is a bit cheaper.I tried the trick of multiple bids using the 5* method for adding other sections of the city that do not have the 5* hotels. I was trying for Marina Bay.Starting Bid = $85Bid Up to $100 and then got a message that said I could bid $125 for free without changing any parts of my bid so I knew I was close. I didn't do it and bid $105 which was rejected. I then bid $110 and the bid was ACCEPTED! The hotel that accepted the bid was Conrad Centennial in Marina Bay. *Expedia Price = $210.00**Hotel rated #1 on Tripadvisor for SingaporeNow I just need to figure where to stay the other 3 nights. I have bid Orchard Road and Marina Bay 5*up to $145 per night for 11/29 -12/2 with no success so far.Good luck all. Great Website
