rick52768 Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 First time user of priceline and the tips and winning bids gave me the ability to bid and win Residence Inn at National Harbor for $80, not the $179 list price. So happy, but I now need two nights and when I tried to add a night none was available at the same hotel other than at the list price. Any tips on how to add a night at the same price like trying each day, waiting until the day before or seeing if the hotel will match the price when checking in? Or should I just try to bid again using similar stars and bid prices to get the same hotel or another one that matches my wants? Thanks for your help. BTW, I used the link on betterbidding.com and my starting price was $65, waited 24 hours and tried again at $65. Then increased my search area, making sure there were no 3 star hotels in the area so I could increase my bid and not wait another 24 hours. The system works well and if you read the priceline user agreement (I think), this is really what they expect you to do.
