One night 11/11-11/12 for $150 w/o taxes and fees

Bids: Started with Downtown NYC, (was trying to get the Andaz), started at $115, since i needed a room for tomorrow I guess i had to add areas in order to rebid right away? Since i saw someone got the Andaz for $145 for the same dates should I just have bid that? (If i did this much further in advance could I just wait the 24 hrs to rebid on the same area and star level?) Added Midtown East trying to get the Grand Hyatt with a new bid of $145. No success, then added Times Sq with a new bid of $150. Still happy, but did want the downtown area. oh well.

thanks to everyone for all their posts, def gave a guide and strategy on obtaining a room at a good price.

You could have 'essentially' bid for just the Downtown zone again by using re-bid zones, which are explained here: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained. At the 4* level in NYC you have FIVE such re-bid zones which you could have used to gradually increase your bid for just the Downtown zone. If you're new to the re-bid concept and decide to use re-bid zones in the future it's highly recommended you confirm your re-bid zones with the board before bidding.
