thisisgreat Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 I've been bidding for Resort Maui (Wailea-Makena) for the past few days with no luck (bid up to $125) for 12/5/10 - 12/12/10.It looks like someone on the board was able to get the Wailea Marriott for $105 for 11/26/10 - 12/2/10; someone else was able to get the same Marriott for $155 for 1/9/11.Looking at retail rates from Priceline, it appears that my dates are more comparable to the Nov/Dec Marriott win ($299 daily rate currently available for both those stays) than the Jan Marriott win ($395 daily rate currently available).A couple weeks back I bid up to $140 for my dates with no luck, and more recently being rejected at $125. Is it possible be rejected at $140 a couple weeks back and then win at a lower price closer to my travel dates?Any other advice or thoughts? Thanks.
