Priceline Hotel: I NEED HELP FINDING A CAR RENTAL

I need help renting a minivan in Tampa for a for 9 days. Is there anywhere on here that I can research it? So far it's looking like $1000 to pay the counter price :)

If you go through HOTWIRE, rentals at the airport in Tampa are pretty reasonable...it depends on what dates you want, though.

Beside looking at the Car Rental forum below, also look at "Other Deals-Car Rental". I have done Priceline for cars in Florida, but as many times as not, I've found better through places like warehouse clubs, Entertainment Book, and here: http://www.vacationoutlet.com/promotion/vo...tal/default.asp Someone on this forum gave me this website a few years ago and I still find good deals by checking each of their providers. Thank you JanetNC for your kind help. I was getting desperate when I was seeing $100/day rates for FLL over the holiday season, and through using your suggestion above (VacationOutlet) I managed to get a reasonable rate ($170/week).
