Priceline Hotel: Las Vegas Help 3/19/11 to 3/23/11

Hi all I will be going to Las Vegas for 3/19 to 3/23. I am looking for a place on the strip and with a nice pool set-up. Those are main criteria. Any thoughts on what I should bid on or anyone know of any good deals directly from hotels? I'm thinking 75 dollars but that could be bumped up. I know I'm way far in advance but just want to start doing a little research. Thanks for your help.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE. You need to be willing to stay at any ?* or higher in the zone you're bidding at.

If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive.

Thank you for the clarification. If my budget is 75 dollars would I be looking more at the 3 star range for bidding success for those dates?

Also I don't know if you have any ideas or not but I am also looking at vacation rentals.

Thank you!

It's a bit early to tell. But you might get a 4* with $75. Let us know when your ready to bid and we'll take a deeper look at this.

Sorry but i don't know anything about the vacation rentals.

I don't think you'll get a vacation rental for $75/nite and even if you can, i'm even less confident it would be on the strip. If you're looking for a Vegas Strip vacation i don't see how a vacation home would suit your needs for this stay.
