Pook Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 Just booked a stay at the Venetian for $135/night thru Priceline. Here's a breakdown of the total:5 nights: $675Taxes: $84.27Total: $759.27I would like to thank this board (first time booking after finding this site). Especially helpful was the tip on choosing different areas so I could rebid quickly since I am very impatient. 4th of July should be fun!
thereuare Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Glad you were able to use the information here to your advantage and get a great rate at the Venetian!Looks like a great place to be for the July 4th holiday.Do you recall the amount of your bid that was rejected before the $135 acceptance? Thanks for posting and enjoy your stay. Pook Posted April 4, 2005 Author Report Posted April 4, 2005 I bid $100 then $125 before getting the $135 price. Hotwire had it listed at $154 so I figured I got a relatively decent deal. I'm happy, so I guess mission accomplished.
Pook Posted April 4, 2005 Author Report Posted April 4, 2005 Wow, that's kind of sad--I just realized I posted in the Hotwire forum and not the Priceline. Sorry if I'm throwing anyone off.
Pook Posted May 11, 2005 Author Report Posted May 11, 2005 Just an update:I called the Venetian because I wanted two queen beds and was informed I had room with one king (I pretty much assumed this was the case). I asked the Venetian for a room with two queens and they said I should contact Priceline. So I did. Priceline was extremely nice and they called the front desk of the Venetian on my behalf to request 2 beds. They said I could have a room with 2 queens at no additional charge. So, I'm happy!
