summer33 Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Hey everyone!I just found this site and must say it is quite awesome. I just wanted to post my win from hotwire. It's a 4.5* Poipu area hotel in Kauai for $249/night which ended up being Grand Hyatt Kauai (yay!)Resort Beachfront Oceanfront Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Children's Activity Program Sorry I didn't use the link provided here. Next time I will. I just have a question, for those of you that won this hotel, what type of room did you get? I called Hotwire who called the hotel and they didn't know what type of room it was, but just said "the earlier you get there, the better room you will get".

But you can allways try to upgrade to a better/diffrent room when you arrive.Thank you for sharing your result with the board!Enjoy your stay. Please use the site's HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links to start future purchases.Yellowdog.

So standard room meaning Garden view, right?
AaronJB Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Standard room would be a non-upgraded room. If garden view is the regular/non-upgraded room at this property, that would be what to likely expect. You can ask at check-in if anything else is available, but that would be up to the hotel and they could say no or charge a fee for upgraded rooms.
