slightlybitterkitten Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Hi folks,I was wondering if you could help me out. I'm new to the boards, so if I'm posting inappropriately, my apologies. I'm looking to narrow down a potential hotel on Hotwire. My search is for Chicago, between 3 December and 5 December, 2010. The hotel in question is going off for $96. It is located in Mag Mile/Streeterville area. It's amenities include: Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Laundry, and High Speed Internet. Let me know if you have any thoughts! Thanks,Meghann
AaronJB Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)This could be a possible match for the Four Points or Holiday Inn Mart Plaza.Personally, I'd rather recommend trying to bid $95 for a 4* in the River North-NMA area on PRICELINE and seeing if you could get a 4* in that area for that price. You could possibly get any of the 4*'s in that zone, but if successful, you'd be getting a 4* for the same price as a HOTWIRE 3*.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
slightlybitterkitten Posted November 3, 2010 Author Report Posted November 3, 2010 Hi,Thanks for the help. I would go with priceline if it were just the two of us. But, I'm booking for my parents and my sisters, and I feel like I need to control the bed situation. Am I wrong for thinking that I can't on priceline? I need a room with 2 double beds. Thanks again.
AaronJB Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 PRICELINE unfortunately only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy. In this case, the 3* could be the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza or the Four Points Sheraton, but given the 4/5 tripadvisor rating, I'd lean towards it being the former. It is more expensive, but the new Palomar (a Kimpton 4* boutique, which opened early last Summer and has gotten fantastic reviews) is $157 on sale (25% off) on Expedia for these dates, but FESTIVE10 takes another $10 off. Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE, Expedia or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
