rodraad2 Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 I am thinking of bidding on Priceline for a hotel in Opera Quarter East - Les Halles from December 26th to January 3 (likely a 4 star). My budget is from 140 up to 200?Any thoughts?
Romelle Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 One quick reasonableness test is Hotwire. It has a 4* Opera hotel for $245 for your dates. That suggests the upper end of your budget could work on Priceline - possibly. Some other HW areas were less expensive. Always a good idea to consider as many areas as possible to improve your chances. When bidding quite a few days, the other thing to do is check some place like the Priceline retail side or Expedia to see if some nights are particularly higher than others. If you are willing to move, bidding in blocks of the more and less expensive nights can give you a better result.RomelleFor the record, I'm just a member. I'm sure you will hear from the official board people soon. I happened to notice it was your very first posting, and thought you'd like a quick reply.
rodraad2 Posted October 31, 2010 Author Report Posted October 31, 2010 oh I thank you very much Romelle, yes it does truly help I, of course, would make my booking at the last minuteans I have a few reasonably priced hotels, on websites, as a backup
