Priceline Hotel: 2* Harrisburg-York (Carlisle) Hampton Inn Carlisle

Bidding on a second night in the Harrisburg area, I will try and get a 3* star (if possible), limit is $50

Otherwise, will take nothing less than a 2* (limit $35) Hoping to get the Crown Plaza in Harrisburg, from posts that appears to be a hotel many win with bids, at a decent rate. The bidding:

Bid for one night only (June 14th) 3 re-bids available (no *3 star)

Selected Harrisburg *4

Bid $30 - rejected

Added Harrisburg - Hershey bid $35 - rejected

Added Carlisle bid $40 - rejected

Added Harrisburg West bid $50 - rejected (Was willing to take *3 in this area)

Selected 2 1/2* lowered bid to $40 - rejected

Added York bid $45 - rejected

Selected 2* bid $35 (any location fine)

After about a 5 minute wait (went to the screen that says check status of request in 15 minutes) the bid was accepted and I won the Hampton Inn in Carlisle again, which mean two consecutive nights at the same hotel (same price) No problems with this. Getting a 3* for these days was impossible (without overpaying)

I know the Crown Plaza is available at Hotwire ($63), but I like to spend less with Priceline.

I suppose the upside is also that you don't need to change hotels!
