E Brown Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 Just a word to inform Priceline bidders that the Hilton at WDW (on Hotel Plaza Blvd) charges a $10 +tax nightly parking fee. This was not disclosed on priceline.com prior to bidding. The Hotel Royal Plaza also charges for parking. I got taken for $20 per night as my wife met me there in her car too! Not sure if there is anything I can do about this. Buyer Beware! :)
jthebird Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 Unfortunately i don't think they are required to disclose any fees because not all hotels charge them. i've decided to take the approach that most 4* and resort level hotels in orlando charge a parking and/or resort fee. i previously was charged a $10 resort fee at a 3* hotel in orlando on a $25 per night stay. It's a gamble we all take when bidding.

E Brown Posted February 14, 2011 Author Report Posted February 14, 2011 We bid $70 for the Hilton at WDW. Resort, 10/26 only. Outstanding but since we took 2 cars with the $10 per car parking fee, it really took away from the great bid. I talked to one of the managers about it and he said since the parking was done by a 3rd party there was nothing he could do about the fee. He did not offer an upgrade or anykind of credit. I am VERY glad, however that hotwire and better bidding posts the parking and resort fees. Priceline needs to get it together.
