bnnt8990 Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 Psyched that I booked the Flamingo for $65/nt! Used the PRICELINE link on this site, but actually this hotel was listed at this price on the regular hotel screen (not Name Your Own Price). I realize it is January so i'm sure that helps the rates get lower. Anyway, big guys trip and we are happy to be right in the middle fo the strip!I put a lot of research in and this site helped a ton, we did try the following techniques to do even better than $65 but no dice so we went with it.3.5* Strip Vicinity South @ $40....deniedAdded Strip North @ $45...deniedAdded Boulder @ $50... deniedAdded Henderson @ $55.... deniedAdded Nellis @ $60... denied.A buddy and I were trying this in unison and I was going for a 4*, hoping to max out at $80 because a few days ago NYNY was going straight up for $84/nt but that was no longer available. Anyway, I tried the same strategy as above but started @ $60 and all were denied so we decided we would rather have a 3.5* for $65 and guarantee we know the hotel than pay more than $80 for a 4*.Thanks BetterBidding for all the help and I hope this post helps someone.
