Priceline Hotel: 3.5* - 4* New York new Times Square

Hello,

I am new to Priceline and am looking for a hotel in early December (12-1 to 12-5). I realize that this is at the height of tourist season, but am still looking to get a fairly good deal on a hotel. I would like to spend less than $350 per night if possible. I would like to stay near Times Square, but am not opposed to Midtown West. Any help on bidding strategies would be greatly appreciated! Are you looking for the cheapest 3.5* possible, or are you looking to try to go towards your max for a 4*? Would there be any other acceptable zones, or are you only looking for TS/MTW? My guess is that a 4* in TS/MTW during this period unfortunately will require a bid towards the high end of your budget.
