Trader19 Posted October 25, 2010 Author Report Posted October 25, 2010 OK, I read my message and clicked the link, what is the best course of action to try and get a winning bid?
thereuare Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 If you look at PRICELINE's Upper East Side and Upper West Side zones, they each go pretty far North... are both of these acceptable?I will point out that we have seen some GREAT deals at the 4* Grand Hyatt for the nite of 10/30 at price less than $120/nite... would you be interested in SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID in order to try for a 2-3 nites at this 4* hotel and then change hotels for the remaining nites of your stay... or would you prefer to try for a lower rated hotel for the complete stay and not have to change properties?Let us know the above regarding splitting and if you want to include UES and UWS in your bidding... we'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Trader19 Posted October 25, 2010 Author Report Posted October 25, 2010 Splitting would be no issue at all. Thanks.
thereuare Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 I would start with the following:At the 4* level you have FIVE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* MTE, MTW, TS, ESB, CPS...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125Bid the above for your comlpete stay of 10/27-11/1. If that is rejected close the browser, use this link to re-access PRICELINE, and re-try the cycle above for each of the following date ranges:10/27-11/110/28-11/110/27-10/3110/29-11/110/27-10/3010/30-11/110/27-10/29Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
