My first choice of stay was downtown LA for a 3.5* and I added Hollywood anyway for an extra free rebid because I know at those rates it probably wouldn't be accepted but if for some reason it did, I wouldn't mind. Definitely start a bid around the 50's. They usually get accepted (depends on the dates I guess), I just got a little desperate though. LAX was my last resort as I know one of the hotels will accept a bid. haha

I've stayed in this area before at a Double Tree ($57, through betterbidding link to PRICELINE :) ) down the street, I really liked the area. There are plenty of places you can eat at and a mall (way) down street. I am most happy that there is this awesome Whole Foods center as well. Haha
