"100% of hotwire customers recommend", so I'm not worried about the half-star demotion but it sounds like the list should be updated.

I wouldn't worry too much about the 1/2 star rating downgrade... it's still the same hotel, and better to have purchased at a perhaps more realistic 3.5* then a higher expectation 4*. As well, the difference in the half star rating is likely very subjective at this level.
