mtroutman Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 I recently decided to attend a conference being held at the Marriott Baltimore (Inner Harbor Hotel). However, the conference special pricing of $189 a night for a room at the Marriott had expired. I am currently bidding for a 4* hotel in Baltimore (Inner Harbor only) for 10/29-11/4 (6 nights).I started my bidding at 70, and progressed at 5 dollar increments to $140 without success. For the past 3 days I have bid once a day starting at $100 and with nine extra bids at 5 dollar increments have ended at $140 without success.Any advice? I do want to stay at the 4* level while in Baltimore. According to priceline, only four 4* hotels are left out of the six listed (Monaco for $218 a night, Intercontinental for $217 a night, Hyatt Regency at $289 a night, and the Marriott for $379 a night. Thanks for your help in advance.
AaronJB Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please provide your desired max budget per night and we would be happy to offer suggestions on ways to proceed. HOTWIRE is showing a 4* at $179 for these dates; while a winning 4* bid will unfortunately take more than $140, I don't think you're too far off at this point.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
