Kate B. Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 FYI People... Got the Renaissance Lodge (prices on their website start @ $299 for my dates) for $150 for today, Tuesday 10/19 checking out Thursday 10/21. I was actually doing this for a friend who is going to Sonoma and was going to pay regular price for a crumby motel. I had to help her bc she isn't computer savvy and the stuff with changing zones etc I knew how to do. Didn't end up having to add zones bc we bid 5 days before the trip for $140, rejected. My friend said she tried the next day for $145 and that was rejected but I can't verify this bc she said it took like 5 min and then her computer died. So $145 might be your magic number. 3 days before her trip I bid for her, Sonoma (zone 6) 4* for her dates and won The Renaissance Lodge at Sonoma for $150. Total for her 2 nights there was $353. Compared to $600 and change the hotel's website charged, we felt pretty proud of ourselves. Thanks, KateP.S. Don't post to often so hopefully format OK etc.EDIT: Forgot to mention, use the better bidding PRICELINE link! It's the cool thing to do.
