jermanimal
I am new to this site and to priceline, but read through a lot and think I am informed enought to give a post now.I am going to be in Chicago April 1-3 and need a place to stay near Navy Pier. Looked on priceline and that would be North Michigan Ave and River North Areas. Any suggests on what to bid, I don't have a sense if this is a peak season or not.Can I expect to get a great 4* or should I settle for a 2+*. I am willing to do $75 a night (two nights), but if I can do for less well, lets do it that way. Thanks Link to comment

thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!I haven't looked at rates for your dates yet, but so we can property formulate a strategy that meets your needs... is price or star rating more important? For example, if given the choice, would you prefer a 2* at $50 or a 4* at $75?Also, i assume you have read and understand the concept of PRICELINE RE-BIDDING? jermanimal
The 4* @ $75 seems reasonable. I would say that the $75 max would be a better way to look at it. I am not really that picky, but while in Chi-town why not. (fyi - 1 room, 2 adults) Link to comment

thereuare
At the 4* level you have 3 re-bid zones, if you're not familiar with re-bidding please read PRICELINE RE-BIDDING EXPLAINED and ask any questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board.Select 4* NMA...Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $60, if rejcted close browser and re-access priceline however you did prevously.Select 4* River North...Bid $60, if rejected add NMA and...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $75.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. If the above is rejected report back and we'll type out a 3* strategy, and so-on.
