Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Savannah (Historic District) Marriott Riverfront

I'm trying to get two rooms in the Savannah Historic District for 10/22 & 10/23. I've used the links on this site to look at HOTWIRE and do some prelim scoping out on PRICELINE. Hotwire lists only 2 hotels in that district for those time frames that are 3* and up. One is a 4* @ $179/night with Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, HS Internet & Business Center. The other is a 3* for $156 with Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, HS Internet. Based on other PRICELINE bids, I was hoping for something that was 3 1/2 stars for $100 or so a night.

So far, I've tried the following on PRICELINE:

4*, $70, historic district only

4*, $80, historic district + gateway

3 1/2*, $80, historic district + gateway

I then used your PRICELINE link for a new session and tried the following:

4*, $90, historic district only

4*, $95, historic district + gateway

no luck.

Any help would be appreciated. For some reason, that weekend looks bad all around...not sure why as I don't see any events going on.

Eh, I upped my bid to $105 for 3 1/2 * and got the Marriott Riverfront. Just like one of the other posts I found. Pretty happy with that. Thanks for keeping this board in place as it helped to not make me so nerve wracked with my bidding!

Glad to see you're happy with the results and the deal you received. Don't worry about the bidding process being a bit nerve wracking at first, but the like anything else, the more you do it the more comfortable it becomes.
