KSANFO Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Hello All-I'm looking for a 3.5-4* for Oct 22-24th downtown. Priceline declined my first bid of 43. Please offer a bidding strategy or any tips, thanks!
thereuare Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay? Was your rejected $43 bid at the 4* or 3.5* level? What is your maximum bid?Let us know the above and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your future bidding. KSANFO Posted October 16, 2010 Author Report Posted October 16, 2010 I'd like to say no more for $50/night and would prefer a 4*, but if my budget sends me to 3.5*, I'm fine with that. So price is more important than rating. The $43 was rejected at the 4* level. I started at $40, then increased to $43.Thanks for your help.
thereuare Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 I'd like to say no more for $50/night and would prefer a 4*, but if my budget sends me to 3.5*, I'm fine with that. So price is more important than rating. This is contradictory so i'll rephrase...Do you want to try for a 4* up to $50 first before trying for a 3.5* OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
