I tried PRICELINE and they rejected three offers up to $58. I got tired of messing with them and decided to go with HOTWIRE.I was hesitant because I'm taking the Heartland Flyer to Ft. Worth and really wanted to be able to walk to everything in the downtown center--where train station, Sundance Square, etc. is--and was concerned HOTWIRE would give me something on the outskirts of their downtown region. (Even though I knew all of PRICELINE's 3.5* hotels were in the center of downtown, I had read that sometimes Hotwire inflates their ratings.) Comparing amenities and price with a previous post really helped, and I got an amazing rate at a nice hotel!Thanks, and I look forward to visiting and contributing more in the future!
