I am looking to book 2 rooms in Lake Buena Vista for March 17, 2011 to March 20, 2011. I am hoping to spend around $50 each room. Is it too early to start bidding now? What would be the best strategy? Thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

With time on your side i was would be as follows:

At the 3* level you have TWO re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 3* LBV...

Bid $35, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $38, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $40

Any questions feel free to ask. This is lowballing a bit so don't get discouraged if the above is rejected... just post back and we'll revise to try again in 24 hours.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Check the winning bids for the resorts...and also check Hotwire.

Bidding early enough give you time to keep rebidding (after 24 hours).

Some hotels may not discount early this far out..

Sometimes I quit too early and moved to another zone..when all I needed was a couple dollars more.

In your plans don't forget taxes and "resort fees".

Good luck.

ALSO..sometimes I bid for one night & then extend (if the resort allows) HOWEVER...you are charged more fees to do that.
