phw1443 Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Hi,Can I get some help setting up the bidding formats for 4 * in Times Square or MTW. Times Square is my preference. Max bid around 220 and dates are 12/16-12/18/10.Thanks in advance.I will link to PRICELINE off your site. Thanks,Walter
thereuare Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Times Square is my preference.Did you want to bid up to your maximum bid in Times Square before adding the MTW zone OR is your goal really the least expensive 4* in either of these two zones? Also, unless you know the city well and specifically need to be in one of these two areas, i'd recommend including other nearby midtown zones... see this thread for further thoughts: Hotels Near Times SquareLet us know the above and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Thanks for using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. phw1443 Posted October 12, 2010 Author Report Posted October 12, 2010 Thank you for being so helpful. My only concern is that the person I will be traveling with will only be a week or so removed from foot surgery. I don't think she can/should walk very far. If cabs aren't a problem getting to plays/shows, then I'll add some additional zones for your help. I read that getting a cab was almost impossible around show times. Thats why I only included the 2 original zones. For all the other adventures, we were going to rely on cabs. Thanks,Walter
thereuare Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Getting a taxi to the show shouldn't be a problem... getting a taxi directly in front of the theatre after the show could be an issue, but usually not if you walk 1-2 blocks/avenues away from the theatre. I'm guessing this should be do-able since there is a strong likelihood that your hotel would be more than 1-2 blocks/avenues from the theater... but you know your friend's situation better than i do.Let us know your thoughts regarding which zone(s) you'd like to begin with and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. phw1443 Posted October 13, 2010 Author Report Posted October 13, 2010 Thanks for all the info on the cabs.I would like help then with a bid plan using MTW, Times Sq, and MTE. They can all be treated equal. Max bid no more than $220 but would like to start much lower than that if possible. Thanks,Walter
