I've been reading other posts on here, and am thinking this week is going to be tough. Still, it looks like there have been a couple deals that week (I LOVE your Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins feature!). If I'm willing to look at most of the typical touristy zones (Chelsea, Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, Times Square, Midtown West, Midtown East, UWS, UES, Central Park South), what are the chances I can find something for $200 or less? A couple people have gotten Mariott Marquis that week for about $200, but not on the exact same days as my trip. Any insight on chances of a repeat success there, if I tried to target that? Another question -- do rates typically go up as you get closer to the travel dates, or do they generally go down at the last minute?

Thanks for all your work here - this is a fantastic resource. Whoever figured this stuff out = pure genius!
