joedigital Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 Hi, is it better to wait closer to the date of your trip to bid or further away from the date? I have been bidding up to 120.00 for Waikiki/resort and have not won but seeing others that have bid the same amount and have won a hotel. Also in Maui/resort up to 140.00thanks-Nathan
AaronJB Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 There is no standard best time - rates could fall closer to your dates, or if this is a busy period, they could suddenly ramp higher. Rates can vary significantly from day-to-day, so it is not recommended to bid based upon what others are getting. What are the date/s of travel and desired max budget per night? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

joedigital Posted October 11, 2010 Author Report Posted October 11, 2010 I dont mind Parc iv stayed there before but id love to get the Sheraton for about that much if possible (125). Maui our budget was about 160 for a resort.. iv already bud up to that much for both Waikiki and Maui.. so will wait another week and bid again to see if the price comes down?
thereuare Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 I dont mind Parc iv stayed there before but id love to get the Sheraton for about that much if possible (125).'Knowing' that the Waikiki Parc is available for $125 would you bid any higher than this for a Resort property in Waikiki Beach? As well, keep in mind that if you decide to wait, it's always possible that the Waikiki Parc is no longer offered or increases in price... so it's a trade-off between securing something now at a price within your budget vs. waiting and hoping a different property is available within your budget.Maui our budget was about 160 for a resort...As per above, please start a NEW TOPIC for the Maui leg of your trip. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. joedigital Posted October 11, 2010 Author Report Posted October 11, 2010 Is the Parc on the bidding list now? I just checked PRICELINE and its price for the days im there is $305. Wife wants the Sheraton so im going to wait a bit and try again... but chances are I might get the Hyatt which is ok as well but further down the strip. Do we have an updated bidding list for PRICELINE?
