re22
This is considered a 3* hotel on Priceline.Positives:The hotel seems fairly new and was in very good shape. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. There is free internet service but you have to bring an Ethernet cord and your laptop. Wifi was available in the lobby/restaurant area. They offered a continental breakfast for $9 (which seemed way high) and a full breakfast bar for $11, including made to order omelets. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which seems standard for hotels.Negatives: The biggest negative is the hotel is located in a field on Hwy 50 at a stoplight. The noise from the street is VERY intrusive. Even with the air fan running continuously, you could hear the low rumble of 18-wheelers and V8 trucks down shifting as they approached a red light, then the powerful engines accelerating for the green lights. As a light sleeper, I found this to be highly annoying. Thankfully, they moved us to the other side of the hotel for the next night and that was better. Not totally quiet but much better. There is nothing to walk to from that field, either. It's a nice building with nice staff but I would hope to get the other known 3 stars in Winchester than stay at the Courtyard again.
